Buying 2001 X5 4.4, a question about two disconnected wire plugs

Hi!

I found two wire connectors in the engine compartment that are disconnected. Both are quite big ones, wrapped with black plastic bag or something.
One is at the left side, when you look at front of the car, and comes from the washer pump wiring harnes.
All plugs for the washer pumps are connected.

Second one was founded at right side of the engine compartment.
Red circles at the picture shows roughly the places where those unplugged connectors are.

Where should those two connectors go?

Sorry about bad english...
(I didn't buy this X5...yet )

Yeah, those connectors could go to anything. Anyone who answers is just going to guess. If you could take an actual picture, we can see the actual plug and then give a better answer.

Since you don;t own this X, did you test it? Does it run? If you have driven it, did you notice and CEL light on the dash or anything? Let us know then we can give ya a better answer. If you can';t get a pic of the connectors, ask the seller or dealer what the are. Also you can go to realoem.com and see if you can pull up a diagram. Hope that helps.

Independent heating connector, and if not equipped with headlamp washers, that other plug is likely for the washerpump for vehicles with headlamp washer jets.

Thanks for the answers. The car is equipped with headlamp washers and no independent heater.
I drove a little test drive last friday and when the engine was cold, it sounded very good - nothing extra sounds from the engine and did run very smoothly. BUT SES did light up after about 10 minutes of drive. When I came back to the dealer, the idle was poor and some knocking type of sound was coming somewhere from the engine and smell of the gasoline was quite generous. That sound didn't came from the VANOS units or timing chains.I did read error codes(INPA), but I didn't take screenshot of it and now I don't remember what it exactly was... There was something like this: ..adaption additive high(bank 2)...I think, but I'm not sure.
The car was delivered to the service by the dealer after my visit. The mechanic said that they found at least one bad ignition coil..(?) Can that really make those symptoms?
The car's price and equipments are well balanced for the used car, but if that engine isn't in a good shape I will move on to the next one...and the search go on.
