Guys Help!!

Hello Guys.

I own 2001 X5 4.4i and I recently replaced a front-passenger outside door handle carrier. I had experienced the job before, so I got it done pretty well, only took about 30 min. But there was something carzy happend after that which I still can't understand.

1. The passenger side door lock, window and mirror doesn't work from the dirver's master switch. (the other 3 doors are perfectly fine)

2. The passenger side door lock doesn't work from the remote key.
(the other 3 doors are perfectly fine as well)

3. The passenger winow is still working only from the passenger switch.

I have checked fuses and wires but no blown fuse or disconnected wire, they were just looked fine. Is this some kind of module problem?
Any ideas? Please help guys!!!

Weasel will become famous soon enough
I'd double check all the connections to the passengers door module and latch. The central locking signals and window switch signal from the drivers door don't seem to be making it over there. Maybe unplug everything and plug it all back in, which will also be doing a power reset on the door module which could do it as well.

did you get it solved? I had no diagram, just trial and error. Got it on my third try.

I had a very similar problem a week ago with my Drivers Side door.

I took the door panel off to replace some clips and when I put everything back I had issues:
- Driver window did not work every time
- Driver door would not lock with interior switch or with key remote
- and a few other weird things.

The problem was with one of the wire connectors, that plugged into the window switch box. The largest connector was not making a good connection. It looked fine and I unplugged it and plugged it back in 20 times. I even took the window switch box (module) apart thinking something was dirty or wrong.

My solution was to remove the swinging arm off the connector. I then plugged it back in, (it was snug fit) and everything worked fine.

My suggestion is to remove that swinging (locking part) of the wired connector and see if it starts working. If so, then you can decide if you want to leave it like I did or something else.

Let me know if you need more info or photos. I can prob find some.
