Climate control light problem on X5 4.6is 2003.

Hi,

Something bizarre happened yesterday. The backlight of the climate control display went off. In the day you can just make out the numbers but the orange backlight has stopped working so at night it's dark. The unit works normally.

Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to replace the whole unit?

Mine died yesterday. nothing turns on.
I unplugged it and replugged it, and thats when it died.
