First post

Just wanted to say hi from Sarasota, FL. I'll be picking up a new to me 05' X5 4.4i tomorrow night. I found a couple leaks (timing cover and alternator bracket) during the initial inspection, so after some negotiating I decided to buy it anyway and will be doing the work myself in the coming weeks.
My other car is a Range Rover with 195k miles on the original engine/tranny, so I'm no stranger to turning a wrench. I look forward to learning from you all in the coming years.

WELCOME to the forum. Was just down in Sarasota a couple weeks ago. My friend went to IMG for HS, so we drove down for spring break. I love it down there.

Enjoy the X5. Post pictures when u can!
