CENTRAL LOCKING

I have an 2000 E53 with locking issues. What is going on is that I can only lock an unlock the car by using the key in the door, also the lock-unlock button does not work when any of the doors are open. The remote sometimes works when im standing right behind the car with the tail gate open. I just ahd the windows tinted and this happened, could the tint be interfering with the attenna for the remote or is the attenna bad? since the locks and all that still work I've ruled out the GM. Thanks Guys

did they happen to remove the door panels for some reason? If so might be a loose connection in the drivers door module. If it was regular tint i don't see how it would block the signal unless they damaged the antena on the rear window.

The antenna is located on top half of the tail gate. You take the side panels off first then the top panel, but the are a pain to put back on. I recommend put the panels together first then snap them back into Place
