Strange Wobble/vibration

HELP!! I have a 2002 X5 3.0. I began having a strange wobble/vibration that I can feel at all speeds. The steering wheel does not shimmy but I can feel a constant harmonic vibration. The car tracks straight even through braking. The only work I have had done recently is water pump, thermostat and serpentine belt. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Rear wheel imbalance will shake the car but not necesarily shake the steering wheel.

Thanks for the repy's I will check out the lug nuts first. Why signs are there for worn or damaged axels? The CV boots are all in good shape?

I have the same feeling like a stutter the whole car vibrates...and nothing with steering or breaking...

with my experience previously i replaced the whole front end suspension....and got new tires...turned out discount tires the first time didnt balance correctly and the second time they balanced it and all 4 wheels were OFF so after a week i got the same wobble again....i think the tires are just bad. I got the Goodyear assurance Fuel Max....i have to admit i dont like them..Will get a new set on monday and will go with the Michelin energy max ....and pay only diff.but definitely check the balance.
