Sub Stopped working

So the other day my sub woofer just stopped working out of no where and apparently for no reason. I have a Alpine 1000W mono amp with a JL 12in sub. I was wondering if you guys could help me diagnose the problem. The amp is still is on, and I ran all of the wires back to make sure if something didnt get disconnected. The bass just plays over my regular car speakers.I was wondering if you guys could help me diagnose the problem

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Whatever images you tried to link in didn't work, but the sub may have given up the ghost. The JL I had in mine at first quit, I replaced it, it went out again... replaced it with an infinity reference sub. Not only cheaper, but better sound and tons more reliable.

Yes, you could hook the sub up to someone else amp that you know is working. If you don't have anyone, you could take a battery from a drill and hook up a wire from each side of battery to the sub to see if the sub jumps or moves at all, it nothing its shot!
