Check out the how to article on top of the homepage for the window diy

I can say for sure that it's not difficult at all to replace, 1st of all
someone had just broken my driver's door glass to steal a (GPS & a little clock/temperature control unit). At first, it was such complicated job for me, I wouldn't never intended to perform something like that, because I thought it was for professional instances to handle. But my wife was trying to save us some money by telling me that I have done more than that, so why can I just try it to see what I can do. And that's when I went to search on youtube about installing a broken glass window and found out how it was something easy to do. But nothing can compare on that day when I definitely put my hands on it to install it, to find out how easy it was to replace a window glass, I was stunned in a way where I could have my 2years old daughter do it for me. However, I dont even disconnect my battery or disconnect my airbag nothing, I just remove the key from the ignition and put it back in everytime I need to lower my glass elevator for a better view and adjustment. some shop wants: $260 used for the glass alone, another one wants: $462 for the glass, the cheapest one I found was: $220 all together including instalation, it was not bad. But with ebay $120+free shipping and I installed it myself ![]() Very easy brother!!! (01 BMW X5 4.4i) Last edited by mysweetx5; 07-07-2011 at 11:10 AM. |
