Upshifts are slow... is this normal?

Hey all. My new to me 05' 4.4 automatic (wife's car) seems to shift pretty slowly when I get on it. It's like it's trying to shift smooth as if I was driving normally, but it just feels weird not slamming me back as it shifts from 1-2, 2-3, etc... Maybe it's because my wife drives so slow it's just adapted to her style. Heck, even in sport mode it shifts just as slow. It honestly feels like it takes about a second and a half to make the shift.

Is this normal? A problem? Is there any way to make it shift firmer?

Thanks.

I suppose I'd need the dealer for that?
