Rolling the pixel connector *video*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTPBszUDuSg

I said a while back that to fix the OBC Pixel Display all you had to do is re-mate the mobo and the connector. Decided to do a video to show you how it works incase you didn't see where I was going.

The connector to the LCD shouldn't be messed with, you should focus on the connection to the mobo itself in the back. Once you put some pressure on those contacts and screw the lcd back to the mobo it will all look new again.

Did this work for ALL broken pixels? No more dimming?

I'm sorry I didn't include the Jersey version where it has an unexplained orange glow and comes with instructions written in gold sparkle pen and spells it out all the way to the end "So'z you freakin get it".

Maybe this DIY isn't for you This video is proof of concept.

(and FYI you're on ignore because let's face it we're not really missing any future ground breaking revelations by putting you there, right?)

Someone's a bit sensitive, huh?!?! Sure your video shows proof of concept, but concept is one thing and positive results are another. Show us a video where the final result is corrected pixels and no more blank/dead spots. After you do that...then talk all the trash you want. Right now as it is your video proves nothing but the fact that by gently rubbing the OBC the pixels flash or blink a bit. Great concept, but a waste of time if it doesn't "really" work.

It works for most all OBC's as well. I did this on my E36 back in 2006 for the speedo and the climate OBC.
