CPO Warranty time bomb

Hey guys. Just got my x5 back from the dealer after servicing. My blower FSR and hazard/unlock switch failed....the day AFTER my CPO ended. It's like they put a jihadist time bomb in there.

Anyways, my satellite radio doesn't show up on my radio modes anymore. Anybody have some troubleshooting ideas?

Thanks!

FSR couldve been a DIY.. No worries.

Try disconnecting the satellite wire in the back and reconnecting it. (with the car off).

Good luck

The switch is pretty easy to remove, mine was caked with coffee/soda stickiness. Warm water, q-tips and appropriate drying cleaned it up.

Unplugging the 3 pin connector with the power off works....but only temporarily.

First time, it worked for a while. I did notice that my radio automatically started on CD mode when I'd start the car (after having it on Sirius).

Now, the unplug/replug solution is even more temporary. By the time I put the tire back, it's non-functional. Is the power source compromised?

Any thoughts?

Seems like that would be related to the connection between the head and the Sirius unit. My Sirius stopped working magically one day, but I can still select it as a mode. Never got an answer on the issue. Good luck.

Thanks Scott,

Never had a problem until they worked on the FSR and the unlock button.

I've tried the radio "US" mode in settings. Why does my radio keep forgetting the satellite unit?

My Sirius issue cropped up after a non-e53 qualified mech came to my house to retrieve a SN off the replaced phone unit. Had everything pulled out from under the spare tire before I suggested he look in the left hand panel where the bluetooth unit actually is. Can't prove that was the reason though.
