Help with shock and spring decision

Ok, my 2001 X5 4.4 needs front shocks badly. I also want to possibly lower it. I have searched and read every thread I could find but cant seem to find out what shocks seem to work well with the H&R springs or the BG ones? Also, with the additional lowering of the BG springs, can you adjust out all the additional neg camber? I dont want to destroy my new 20" tires anf faster that they already go. Also, My X5 has sport package. I read that the bilsteins are to harsh. what about the Sachs/Monroe/KYB's with lowering springs? I really dont want to missmatch and make it ride/handle bad. In a nutshell, I just want to put shocks and springs on it and be done with it. Thanks for any advice. I REALLY appreciate it.

Carrerax I'm in the same boat as you. I have an '02 3.0i non-sport on 20's and recently purchased H&R springs but don't know which shocks/struts to buy. In these mean potholed streets of NYC I need to choose the correct set up. Which camber plates are you purchasing?

Im not using camber plates. I dont need a bunch of neg camber on this. As for the shocks, hopefully someone will reply. If not Ill just get a set of sachs and be done with it...
