Compression test
Is there a way to I do a compression test when the engine on a stand/out of the car?

Standard compression test, no... but you can do a cylinder leak down test
which is a lot more informative anyways. Harbor freight has one for pretty cheap.

Thanks Weasel. I found to rent the tool locally and I will do that tomorrow. I will report back the numbers.

When I went to the shop that claimed they had the leak down test tool they actually had the compression test tool only. So, I couldn't do the test as intended. The engine is back on the car and running smooth.
