Angry iPhone pairing w/ 2005 X5
Has anyone paired an iPhone 3 or 4 with a 2005 X5 with no TCU problem?

A few years ago I paired a non-approved blackberry with my2005 x5. After a few months the TCU crashed and was draining the batterie. Dealer replaced TCU because I did not admit to pairing w/ non-approved phone. I am getting an iPhone 4 next week and I would love to pair it with my 05 X5. Please advised

OP, how did you convince the dealer to replace your TCU for free? Same problems (we may have even discussed it together on another thread)...I don't think it actually due to the type of phone you use though. I just heard the TCU's are junk.

That was 2 yrs ago and my X was still under warranty. They were going to void the warranty if I did not denied pairing it w/ a non-approved cell phone.

Yes my iPhone 3 pairs without issue in my 2005. My previous phones though not on
the list paired as well.

Where does it say that it will void the warranty if one were to use any so called non-approved cell phone?
