Advise required on HID Bulbs

Hi,

I was looking to purchase a set of after market HID bulbs from ebay and was wondering whether anyone had experiance of the below item

2 x HID XENON REPLACEMENT BULBS D2S 6000K BMW AUDI VW | eBay UK

or would i be better of with the OEM version

OEM Philips D2S 85122 HID 35W Xenon Bulb (NEW UK) 4300k | eBay UK

what r u trying to accomplished here? do u want brighter lights and more visibility ? to begin with ,u have 4300k 35w bulbs 6000k is not much different.But if u change your wattage to 55w and 8000k or 10000k it sure will make a big change. Plus do not buy stuff from e bay.i simply dont trust the quality.

Definitely go with the Philips oem 4300k.Always used this brand on my other non-xenon cars and their bulbs are top quality,especially their blue vison range,which I use on my X5 main beams.They are called "blue vision",but they emit a bright white light ....
If you buy from Ebay,just try to find a seller that has sold loads of these.rather than one that only sold a few.My 2 euros ,anyway

Hi, not brighter but ones that emit more of a white/blue rather than the yellow

Sorry .I dont agree!6000k is whiter than the stock 4300k.
8000k will be too blue and 10,000k will be blueishy/green, and in some countries is illegal and definitely will not pass MOT or road inspection.
Having said this,everyone can install what they like

I usually get mine from this seller and you get 1 year warranty on the bulbs.
never had any issues so far.

I just checking your 2nd link and this seller mainly sells Philips products,so he is an alternative,especially as you get 2 years warranty.

I had one of the headlights replaced and it has the original Osram D2S 35W bulb which has the yellow tinge. However, the other side has an old bulb which doesnt have the yellow tinge so not sure whether its a different bulb or doesnt have the yellow tinge because its quite old in comparison to the the one on the other side as thats brand new. Im caught between whether purchasing an OEM bulb or wether to replaced both with a slightly whiter one....
