Check Brake Linings

I have a question, I recently bought my X. And the guy I bought it from just put on drilled rotors and new pads but did not replace the pad sensor wires. So this last weekend I replaced the wires, but it is still telling me "Check Brake Linings". Is this something that needs to be cleared by a diagnostic computer or should I be checking something else??

If you turn the key in 1st position and wait like 1-2- minutes, the light will reset and go away..... that is if by saying "I replaced the wires" you meant the sensors.

Yes, I replaced the sensors.

i'm still having the issues. took it back the mechanic and they cant figure it out. the light comes and goes. it will be there a few days, then gone. then it comes back. anyone see this before?

Yes. Usually a bad connection in the junction of the sensor wire with the vehicle wiring (most likely cause), or a faulty sensor.
