Official Bimmer/BMW/X5 Greeting

Hey guys, For those of us who live on the East Coast, especially the MidAtlantic region (DC-NY), I get to see lots of Bimmers running around. I am one of those that always notices every X5 that goes by and I always wonder whether the owner is a member of the X5world. Instead of wondering why not come up with an official X5 greeting? I was thinking of maybe two blasts of the highs for "X5" or three blasts for "BMW". Either greeting would mean the same,an acknowledgement or hello that you see the X5. I am also aware of the xoutpost.com decals and it is a good idea,but if you are going the opposite way you can't really see the back window.So the blasts from the highs would be the other option.What do you guys think?

Im on the island, and like 95% of the drivers are women with car seats in the back. Once in a blue moon I would actually see a dude usually in a 4.4 or higher. How bout all the avid readers of X5world get a sticker for the back glass, a very small one that is for the North eastern territory. So I can catch up to u and say hi.... just a thought

Pretty much the same where I am. In any case, most people are going to think "speed trap ahead" when they see you flash your lights.

I don't worry about the opposite side. I was following a black 4.8 with Florida plate on I-287W, on my way home today and when I slowed and passed, I was surprised to notice a young female driver(a first for me for a 4.8), but I could not get her attention.

Maybe that's radioX5 from Hartford?

Yeah, I always want to wave to a fellow BMW driver (sort of like the old Corvette wave - now defunct), but there are so many "drivers" that don't appreciate what they've got. It's just a status symbol, not an "ultimate driving machine"!
