Unhappy Another Alpine White E53 has moved on

Well, I finally had to say goodbye to her. After finding out about the upcoming TC repair and then having a window regulator go out and a service engine light come on all within a week, it was time to give in. Traded the old girl in on a 2011 Audi Q5 2.0T in.....wait for it....wait for it...White on black!!!

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all of the support for all of these years. I will still be stopping in here occasionally because I swear I will one day own an X6!!

BTW, I will be throwing up some stuff for sale here soon. I have a mesh pet barrier, driver's side from window regulator (OEM-new), and some other stuff.

Sad to see your X go, but congrats on the new ride. Post some pics when you get the chance.

The second to last standing please post one last message, "last one out please turn off the light".

I was surprise when, Mike Miller, the tech-talk editor of roundel BMW CCA magazine, responded to someone thinking about buying a 335i, "I wouldn't own one". This comes from someone who (I assume) can wrench his own car. Well, maybe it's true afterall, modern BMW just don't last, well I hope my X5 will at least until I have money to replace it.

New ride:

Wife wanted better gas mileage, so we opted for the 2.0T. Was kinda hard going back to a 4-cyl, but knowing it had a hair dryer hooked up to it made it an easier decision. It does have an 8-spd tranny which is super smooth. Love the red interior lighting, nav, power folding side mirrors, etc., etc., etc. - stuff did not have on the X.

Looks nice. What do you think of how it drives compared to the e53?

Truthfully I have not really spent any time in it. Picked it up Saturday evening and then had to leave for business on Sunday. She is "letting" me take it to work tomorrow, so I will report back this weekend and let you know.
