Anyone seen painted splitters on an E53?...

I'm not convinced it will look good, but I'm going to buy some painted splitters and stick them on the bottom of my 4.4i to see how they look. I'm planning on purchasing these:

PAINTED BMW E90 M-TECH H-TYPE PU LIP SPLITTER SPOILER | eBay

Of course I'd love a 4.6 front kit, but I don't feel like spending that kind of money on my 9 year old.

Anyways, anybody seen anything like this?

Thanks,
-Cyrus

That makes no sense on a SUV. Splitters are designed for lowered cars to help created a clean split between high pressure and low pressure regions. They would serve no purpose on the X5 other than looks.

I've designed, tested, and manufactured carbon fiber and fiberglass splitters for VW's, so I have experience with this sort of thing.

Agreed. A splitter on an SUV is for hardparking bling only. Just paint the lower trim of your existing bumpers if you want an inexpensive 4.8iS look.

Hey guys I let the project go. Of course the splitters would be purely esthetic, but based on where the bumper trim ends (very recessed) I think it wouldn't look very good.
