No HVAC for 2 minutes

Driving in 85 degree weather on Friday, slowed into a construction zone almost to a stop and the HVAC cut out. I had nothing coming out the vents. Started opening up the windows and the HVAC started back up.

I think it may have just happened again.

Alternator? Fussy BMW? HVAC controls?

If the fan stopped I suspect the Final Stage Resistor. (FSR)

my thought oo. especially since the old one had issues with getting too hot and shorting out.

check if its ever been replaced

My FSR has the round spikes instead of the flat fins....I actually have an extra (same type) lying around....so I guess I could try that.
