Volume knob wobbly on Nav 4:3

Thought i just needed to replace the volume knob but as it turns out the volume rheostat itself is wobbling out of place (or getting off centered) making the volume knob difficult to turn and push

How hard is it to take apart from the front display of the 4:3 Early Nav?
