New Smart Key for 2002 E53

Does anyone know if I bought a 2010 style key for my E53 would it work if I had it programmed? I'm using my blank key to start at the moment as my remote key needs coding. I thought since I would have to go to the dealer to get it coded anyway I might try and see if a new style shiny one would work?

no, 2010 is keyless, and yours don't have start engine button... so?
