DIS Software

Does anyone have any experience of this ? It kinda seems to be too good to be true.

BMW GT1 Software

Considering that any of the "professional"packages I have taken the time to pursue have all been in the $$$$ (4 digits) range and the semi- professional software packages are in the $$$ range I just cannot see how a 39 quid package (Including POSTAGE!!) can be that good.
I'd be happy to purchase it after somebody, well known on the board, who knows how the dealer package works gives it their seal of approval.

This is the most complete thread on the subject. Note the additional hardware (cables, etc) that you will require.

I took the plunge and ordered one and one of their recommended cables. I figured for that price it was worth a try. I have no experience whatsoever on the pro GT1 though so won't be able to give any comparisons.

I've no experience either on the pro version. But the package you bought, what's your opinion of it ?

My package is still in transit. I ordered it about 5 days ago so I'd expect it to arrive some time next week.

Cool. Let us know what you think of it when you get it.

For that price I would say it is a VMware (virtual machine runs on windows XP) disk that can work on any laptop, you still have to purchace the cable or yellow head, I have purchaced IBM T30 laptop from Ebay and got the DIS software online( google it) and did a native install, it is much more stable.

FYI, I still haven't gotten this yet. My UK vendor thinks Canada's recent mail strike is the culprit and gave me a full refund. I'm currently trying to get him to send me the package through FedEx, UPS, or some other private delivery service. Perhaps you might have better luck being closer to the source.
