Unhappy 4.6IS Battery Drain Problem

Hi Guys,

I have a 2002 4.6is with 60k miles. I have recently bought the car and in the service history there is evidence that there has had dead battery trouble in the past. All work was carried out by main BMW dealers. The battery was replaced with a Bosch standard one back in August 2010 and then the FSR/Hedgehog was replaced in December 2010. Since owning the car for the last 2 months the problem seems to be getting worse.

The battery will go flat within in a few days sometimes 1-2 days which is quite annoying. I have been doing some reading on here about the FSR's being the problem and since this has been changed 7 months ago I thought maybe this should still be ok?? Do you think this would go again?

Also the latest problems which has happened since the battery keeps going flat, is the ABS/DSC light coming on when the car is started and not going out someone on here kindly told me to turn the steering wheel boths ways which thankfully clears the lights!

BUT the latest problem is the fuel guage light is on and displays its empty and doesnt move the needle and the computer range displays ---- miles

Also to add to this the outside temperature displays -48c!!! which even for English weather is beyond a joke!

Please help me guys I really don't want to fork out loads of money at the stealers for them to not even fix the problem!

Thanks!
James
