Best prices on new MAF ...

My 2006 4.4i needs a new MAF...

Where is everyone ordering these from ? I'm having trouble finding them period other than OEM BMW parts sites... am I stuck paying 400 bucks for one ?

BOSCH MAF BMW 0280218135 13627524136 13627566988 NEW | eBay

Has anyone ordered from this guy ? It's way cheaper and has great feedback ?

Thanks.

That seems like a good price. You could go re-man: PartsTrain.com - Hard to Find Auto Parts and Truck Parts -

Thanks... that's a great price; have you (or anyone) used this piece ?

I've read that a lot of people have gone non-bosch direct replacements and had problems... ?

I'm not throwing any codes but getting a very rough and intermittent idle plus random low rpm surges and hesitation.

I haven't had the pleasure of replacing the MAF sensor yet (knock on wood). I have bought from that site though and been happy (I am not affiliated w/ the site in any way). They have a 10% off code (PTCART) I just used to order my brake components last week.

Those seem like good prices. My cost on that item is $275.00 it has a suggested list of $406. (new not reman)
I would sell it over the counter for $360

I am one of those people. The one I bought seemed to work OK for a month and then I had occasional unexplained hesitations. One time I was pulling out in front of some traffic and the vehicle hesitated. Scared my GF to death. From that point forward she would no longer ride in the X5 until the problem was solved. It was with a genuine replacement.

Easy way to test is to unplug the MAF. This will set the SEL but it will eventually go off on its own once it's been reconnected.

I ended up purchasing the Bosch replacement MAF via e-bay the link I posted... I made an offer of 160 as I saw through his feedback (all positive) that he let one go for 170... and he accepted... So once I receive it I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Thanks for the help.

It is a little late to answer this. However, it may benefit to others who has not changed yet.
I have been very successful using CRC MAF cleaner for my cars without spending several hundreds of dollars. You can get it at Advance Auto parts. Spray sufficient amount onto the filament wires (very tiny steel wire in the middle of casing) several times and blow with soft air to let dry. DO NOT Touch with anything. It should improve your condition. At the same time change the spark plugs as well (if they are more than 50,000 miles). You will definitely see the difference.
