Fog Light Bulbs w/Pic!

I wanted a bulb that matched the HID's better. After searching this forum and others I setteled on the Hoen Xenomatch. My manual had the replacement listed as an H1, but it turns out it is an H3.

The people at Heon answerd my email promptly and shipped the bulbs right away.

To me a fairly significant difference. For thirty bucks I am happy.

Did I tell you, I really like this car!

They look alot better now! I was thinking about this myself. Hoen Xenomatch huh, will have to give them a try as I don't want to go full HID on the fogs.

Is there any drawbacks to going full HIDs on the fogs? Of course, if we are really all trying to match the headlights then we might as well get HIDs...correct?

While the HID setup is technically more efficient and actually uses less energy/voltage to light up, and put out twice as much light... the downfall that I am avoiding is blinding everybody. The projector lenses in the headlights have blocker-plates that only allow light below a certain point to keep it out of the other drivers eyes and mirrors. With fog lights, even the ones with projector lenses, have no blinder plate thus is a big blinding nuisance to other drivers.

Not only will those HID fog lights blind on-coming traffics, you'll get horrific reflections when used in an actual foggy situation, which defeats the purpose of having fog lights in the first place.

I went with HID fogs, and since they have projectors they don't blind oncoming traffic. They look really nice, but the only drawback is that they are useless in foggy situations, but we don't get much fog here so its all good!

In the New Orleans area we get fog quite often, so I go with functionality over style when necessary...
