Grill

I was thinking about starting to mod the X a little bit

I was thinking about buying titanium grills or painting the inside of my grills. Then I started thinking. Do you guys think I can get grills for my 2002 X that look similar to the facelift grills (the angled ones). Do you think this is made for the pre facelift cars?

Found these pics on ebay

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for, but titanium grills are available for the 2002. I bought and installed a set myself.

Thanx

A new front end you say

Well then I'll just have to get the titanium one. I just thought I could maybe get something similar.

Hi saxi,
This is something I have been contemplating in doing! You see, I have a few small annoying chips on my bonnet(2003 X5) and I was wondering if it would be possible to take my oem grills out, widen the holes and fit the 04> grills???Just a thought!I am going to spray the bonnet anyway,so why not do the grills conversion?

I am going to try and photoshop this idea! The plastic trim below the headlights can also be easily modified to make it look"almost" facelifted!

Not exactly what i am looking for. It is not titanium color what makes them better. I can easily paint my regular ones and have it titanium. BUT it is shape of rips thay are wider and somehow look better and diferent than all other BMW grils before. Actualy i would paint it black if i just could mount face lift grill into pre face lift hood.
Yu almost got me with that auction, first pic is what i am looking for but on other pics you can see it is just regular one painted in silver.

Right...

in the original....00-03 there are 8 slots vs the v8 look of the 04 through 06 where there are 7 slots and it is wider..so the one that I showed is what you could get for a 00-03 X5 to have that V8 04-06 look...
do some searching and you'll figure it out and see what I mean.

Believe me..I researched this high and low many months ago....before I chose the grill that I have.
