Radio 7.5Amp fuse blows out when closing rear trunklid
I am having a strange issue where I blow the 7.5A fuse in the right rear bin above the subwoofer box (fuse#73). When I replace the fuse everything is fine until I close the rear hatch. I realize it is likely a loose connection somewhere in the rear or could it be something to do with the lighting/grounding of the hatch itself?
I will buy some more fuses and try a very gentle closing of the hatch. Any other suggested areas to look? Thanks in advance! Last edited by xmac; 09-14-2011 at 11:56 PM. |

Finally found the trunklid radio fuse problem
I found a break in a couple of the wires near the upper trunklid hinge (red/white & black/green). After repairing the wiring with some UL Listed electrical tape, I have not had the radio fuse pop. Hope this helps someone else!
