A little bit of advice needed...
This is my first post however i live on this site. I have a 2004 bmw x5 and i was wondering if i can swap my 235 65 17 tires for 245 65 17 without experiencing any violent shaking when driving. I am in the process of buying new tires for the upcoming winter and want to have slightly bigger tires. My questions are: Has anyone ever done so? or Is it doable? Thanks for the input! Thoughts. |

No problem, I run 265/55/18 instead of the usual 255/55/18 for winter. As long as you have same size on all four corners you are good. Your speedo will be slightly off on the low side.

you can try a tire size calculator too for differing sizes. 1010tires.com has a good one.
