Heated seat controls not working

Im having a problem getting my heated seats to work so i was wondering if a solution could be found here before selling my soul and going to BMW. When i bought my x5 4.4 2002 the guy in the garage said the heated seats didnt work Probably a fuse he said lol anyway when i turn the ignition on the switches flicker and then go out and then nothing. I have checked the fuses and they are ok but the guy told me he had changed the battery and im wondering if this has had anything to do with some of my gadgets not working. If anyone could help i would be very grateful.
Best regards
Steve

The relay for the seat or your thermistor in the seat is bad.

the relay for the heated seat circuit 1 relay for 2 seats.
the thermistor is what regulates the tempature.
if you go to the wds site it will tell you how to troubleshoot your heated seats to find out what exactly is wrong. You will need a meter to measure voltage and resistance
