MSG to any BMW tech who wants to make some money for coding services

Hi,

I was wondering if I could pay for your services.

I've since converted our X5 to springs. The dealer removed the EHC2 module and the compressor and recoded the DSC to stop any background error msgs.

However the msg still appears on the dash.

I've since put together easyDIS using INPA/EDIABAS interface.

If you are able to help me code to make our X5 think it never had air, I'd be willing to pay for your services.

the DSC has nothing to do with Check Control Messages. The Lamp Check Module needs to be recoded with the correct SA String. Post the last 7 of your vin so i can calculate the correct code.

Ok,

Here is that part of my VIN:

LV74357

What the dealer told me was that there were all kinds of background error messages in the DSC. They coded it so that all is gone. When I scan with just INPA (not DIS44) it says something about version wrong version of DSC.
My guess is they put software for a 3.0i without air susp in the DSC.

They won't do any more. Bmw na told the dealer that it was an unauthorized mod.

If you'd like, pm me with an email address. Your pm box is full so I can't pm you. We can discuss payment arrangements

Thx for your time

using DIS44

Recode IKE/Kombi Manually
When it asks to change GM string, Leave 80533890 F
When it asks to change SA string, Change to 2008003 0 8E99E807 C
When it asks to change VN string, Leave 00000001B7 8

Recode EWS module also same way. Follow directions when it asks to turn off ignition for 10 seconds.

After recoding control unit, recode LCM. Clear fault memory.

If you prefer using Progman, i have attached the ZCS/VO which you may load on a floppy disc. rename pdf to xml

It seems like your DSC faults are unrelated to your self leveling issue. I hope you did not pay to have them do absolutely nothing to your car. Here is a sample DXC coding file from a facelift X5

<start coding>

RPA_WARNSCHWELLWERTE_2

RPA_WARNSCHWELLWERTE_3

</end coding>

no coding options exists for option 221 Air Suspension

Great!

Thanks Killcrap! I greatly appreciate your time and help!!

One question. You mention a control module right before the LCM. Were you refering to the EWS?
