Loss of power below 3000RPM - 3.0d
Gents,
The other half had been driving the car and when I jumped in it it was low on grunt and was really struggling to get going. I sourced a fault reader from Ebay and it came up with the following code: 7728 - charge-air pressure control or charge-air pressure actuator I spent some time on searches and saw where the issues could be and when I went to check it was just a pipe that had popped out RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 3.0d VACUM CONTROL-ENGINE-TURBO CHARGER Pipe 12 to the large(ish) black vacum tank. So if any of you kind people have a loss of power it might be wort checking the vacum pipes to the vacum tank as I have read that they do get brittle and do snap off (I was lucky and it was popped off and just needed reattaching) Needless to say it goes like it did before - cheap fix but massive improvement Apologies in advance if this has already been posted but didnt find it when searching and just wanted to give something back to the forum for all the help it has given me. thanks |
