inner and outer tire wall strength difference?
Hello, Don't lynch me for asking this, but can I flip each of my rear Michelin diamaris on the same rim so as to maximize tire wear? just concerned if there is a difference between inner and outer side wall strength (as one side of the tire says outside and the other inside)....the direction i a am not concerned about as I can swap the 'new' setup from one side to other so as to maintain direction...any tips by tire experts would be great thanks

You asked this question last year? Still no answer?
http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...es-around.html What seems odd to me is if they're directional AND have an inside & outside, then they would have to make 'left hand' side tyres, and 'right hand' side tyres, as no tyre could actually run on the left AND the right and be going in the right direction with the correct inside/outside orientation. I have never heard of that before ![]() |

As long as they are non directional tires it should not be an issue. I would consult your tire shop that would be removing, mounting, and re balancing on your participial tires. A good tire shop will not just try to sell your products but be helpful in cases like this.
