Fault Code Help Please
1A [026] Multiplicat. mixture adaptation, bank 1, control limit reached That was the only error. I cleared it and went for a drive and everything seemed fine but the light came back on less than a mile after leaving home this morning. I've not re-read the codes yet. Any ideas ? Lambda sensor(s) ? MAF ? Although I'd expect a MAF problem to affect both banks equally. I'm trying to sell the car at the moment so this is really awful timing ! |

Try removing the main engine cover above the intake manifold in the v of the engine ( four small bolts) if you then look down at the rear of the black plastic inletmanifold you will see two breather pipes apron 20 mm in diameter horizontally positioned . You will probably find these have gone very soft and split badly causing the air leak.
Good luck |

I didn't get around to checking those pipes, but I took the MAF off and gave it a good clean, and the error hasn't come back. Engine seems to run a bit smoother too. I'm hopeful that's all that was needed !
