How long is the Wait?

I ordered a 4.8 around 2.5 weeks ago. Dealer told me 4 weeks wait.

I check the status on bmwusa.com site, it still says on order.

1.5 weeks and i should i have my car. is this correct?

to me... it doesnt seem right.. im thinking 6-8 weeks..

for those of you who ordered, how long was your wait?

Should be able to get in 6 weeks. On the owners circle, you will see it jump from 'Schedule for production' to 'At prep center' in one week. Also depends on where you live. Sooner for people on the east coast.

yeah im dyin here too. I'm on the east coast and my '05 3.0 just changed to "schedule for production" tonight, so hopefully I could have it by next week

Ours was built and at the dealer in 2 weeks. It went so fast that we actually had the dealer hold it there for 3 more weeks because we where not ready for delivery. At least my parents were not. It was during Christmas and my parents did not want to have a new car sitting in the drive way when our relatives came over.

When I ordered my 05 4.4, one dealer told me 4 to 6 weeks and another told me 6 to 8 weeks. Ordered on December 31, 2004 and it showed up on February 17th. So, seems like 6 weeks.
