Aux fan question

Hi Guys,

I had this car for a little over 2 months, and I noticed that my AUX FAN never comes on no matter how hot the temperature outside is (someday up to 99 degree F) with heavy AC usage. Should I be worry and check it out? If so any instructions on how to diagnose see if the FAN is properly working.

The AC system will not work if the auxiliary fan is dead.
It may be on low speed, so its quiet.
Or like my co worker, look closer, there is a fan looking thing inside the shroud along with the fan.

The fan is there but it is not running. I might need to run the test manually and see if it is still alive. Anyone know is there a sensor that control the fan speed or give it a kick start?

Does anybody know what the deferences are between the diesel aux fan 64546921382 and the petrol (gas) aux fan 64546921381? Is it just shroud shapes or is it something electrical?

So no one has any electrical schematics?

I am thinking of trying the v8 fan because the cheapest I can find the diesel one is $800+shipping. Way too much. Or I was thinking of pulling the fan and trying to repair it. Anybody done this?

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Yarn.
