Driver Side Mirror Loose Tigtning Bolts Didn't Help Any Other Ideas?

My driver mirror is loose on my 2005 4.4 x5. I opened the whole mirror down to the motor and put it back together still loose. I tightened all of the torx bolt and it did not make any difference. If I close the mirror with the button it it ok for a little bit and when I start driving it gets loose again.
Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks guys.

I'm struggling with it sounds like the same problem. If I shut my door the mirror flops over a smidge. If I open and close them it's good as long I don't hit the gas too hard. I assumed there was a bolt that's worked loose. Sounds like it could actually be the motor that holds it in place??

Gads, that could get pricey.

I had same problem only with both side view mirrors. I would adjust the mirror, and drive for a while and if I hit my brakes hard, the side view mirror would move. Kinda freaked me out the first time it happened. I went to a BMW dealer and the service guy popped off a cover on bottom of mirror, got a screw driver of some sort and tightened both sides. He did not even charge me. This took maybe as much time to fix as checking the oil. He broke one of the covers and replaced it for free also. Don't dig into a VERY expensive side view mirror until you have gone to the DEALERSHIP (yes I said that) and have them check your mirrors. Make them give you and expensive estimate before you walk.
