Planning Brake Job
Hi Guys,
I am planning a brake job and I want to install the Brembo holed and slotted rotors. I found these on ebay, Brembo Just wanted to know if these are legit. Also, what pads should I use to reduce brake dust? Thanks, Joe Puma |

Joe,
Brembo doesn't make drilled and slotted rotors. What is likely the case is that they have taken a stock set of Brembo rotors and used their machining equipment to drill and slot them. This will void any warranty that Brembo offers on the rotors, so check with the seller to see what kind of warranty they provide (usually it's pretty limited) As for pads, I would suggest Axxis Deluxe for the most brake dust reduction. Jeff

I also installed the Axxis and it made a huge brake dust difference, I'd recommend it highly.

(note: they also offer rotors that are basic rotors with no drilling or slotting)Quote:

okay cool, was just reading about the Axxis. I also think I found better sources for the rotors, I noticed that brembo doesnt make slotted and drilled. I am happy to stick with just drilled.
Thanks for your input Jeff and Happy Holidays to you and everyone here at X5World. |

Note: If you do any type of off roading avoid any kind of modifications to your rotors. Things could get stuck. Be on the safe side.

So whats the best suggestion here. Should I put on Brembo's or go OEM with the rotors, Veheh said I dont need sensors if I use another brand rotor. Is that good? I dont do any off roading so I dont have to worry about something getting stuck in the holes but point well taken.
