JUst Bump the curve

Ouch.... I just the curve as pulling in the gas station tonight, too dark too much, still alot of snow on the ground, I did not see the curve when turning right at the gas stastion. The left front wheel hit curve and has a little scratch on the edge of the rim, I wonder I need alignment or balance, may be both. Can local shop do this job? any recommendation? Or I have to take it to the BMW dealer for this job.

Do you mean that you hit the curb? And that the wheel is scraped where it contacted the curb? Just trying to decode your post.

If so, you may need an alignment. You wouldn't need a balance unless you knocked the old weights off. You may have damaged the suspension/steering, but if you hit that hard it should be fairly obvious. No pictures, so it is pretty hard to diagnose....

Don't have any recommendations for you for a shop, since you don't give your location (USA?). You can take it to the dealer or to a local alignment shop.

Good luck.
