Replaced 02 sensor and car running lean still. Replaced the rubber elbow hose too.

MAF sensor been replaced recently (or ever)? That can cause a ton of issues.

No, never replaced. I have done just about everything possible with the maintainence. The code reads P1093.

P1093 Pre-Catalyst Fuel Trim Too Rich Bank 2 Sometimes that can be a vacuum leak. Have you had any service performed lately? Also, if you have a friend with an X5 you can swap MAF sensors in just a few minutes to see if that satisfies the light. You could also start with a $7 can of MAF sensor cleaner. Just spray the sensor. No need to remove it from the piping that it's housed in. But do remove it from the car and mist it a few times, if you go that route.

Yes, I have had the power steering hoses replaced and oil change services and that's when the light appeared. Do you think I need to flush the system? I also place a can of BG cleaner in the gas tank.

I am sorry -- not running lean. FUEL TOO RICH on BANK 2 where I have the pre-cat 02 sensor replaced. Flush the engine?
