Correct. Usually the front is 5 more than rear.

U are the man!!!! I can find that size in the Continental DWS. I am going to order me a set. The ride will be a little lower, may be a little better handling. Above all I get a good set of winter tires right at $1,000 Can't beat that!!!!! Thanks Agian!!!!

On my 4.6IS with staggered 20" fit I have sitting with me now 4x 255/55R18 Michelin X-Ice XI2 + 4 Touren TR3 18" rims

Should be a perfect fit according to my calculation?!

Do you guys see any issues with it?
to answer my original question this is ok to do.....if you go tot the 1010tires.com site and punch in the tire sizes it will tell you which rims they will fit....also on tire rack if you punch in 275/45 R19 and get the spec up of various brands of tires again it will tell you what width rim they fit...

I just found out today, the Continental DWS does not had the correct load ratings that needed. It needs to have 103 for front and 107 for rear. The tire guys told me if not teh tires wont last very long at all. I guess I have to go with the Michelin now

why not go DWS 255/50/19 on front
275/45/19 on rear

(stock would be 285/45/19).

is this close enough?
overall diameter of front will be 29"
overall diameter of rear will be 28.7"

could somebody confirm that is acceptable? (1% diff rolling diameter)

i mean given tread is 10/32 on a full set of tires, if you have 50% wear, the overall diameter of a 29" will be 28.7" anyway.

so in other words, this would be no different than running 255/50/19 + 285/45/19 stock setup where there is 0% wear on front, and 50% rear on rear.
