is this close enough?
overall diameter of front will be 29"
overall diameter of rear will be 28.7"

could somebody confirm that is acceptable? (1% diff rolling diameter)

i mean given tread is 10/32 on a full set of tires, if you have 50% wear, the overall diameter of a 29" will be 28.7" anyway.

so in other words, this would be no different than running 255/50/19 + 285/45/19 stock setup where there is 0% wear on front, and 50% rear on rear.

Unfortunately DWS does not come with a 255/50/19. I talked to a well reputed tire shop here. He told me according to the specs they have for the X5, if you are planning on putting a new set of tires either in the front or back, if there is a difference of 5/32. You will have to put on an entire set, for all four!!!! If not you may have issues!!!!

Sorry DWS has the 255/50/19. The local shop told me not to do that saying there may be issues

perhaps you may be able to do 275/40/19 all round if you don't mind giving up staggered. 275 is spec'd (DWS at least) to fit 9-11" wheels.

I believe the X5 19" staggered is a 19x9 and a 19x10

not sure if rubbing will be an issue on the front though (given offset of current wheel).

worse case you can run spacers (since 275 in general does work on the front since the 4.6 and 4.8 run 275 in 20"s in the front).
