OEM vs Replica wheels

I was wondering what you think about replica wheels?

The oem style I want , I've seen as replicas as well?

Here are two sites:
BMW Specials - discounted Sets of 4 Wheels/Rims + Free Shipping @ WheelsAndCaps.com

And

GIOVANNA WHEELS & RIMS

Are replicas inferior in quality etc?

I was also wondering what reconditioned OEM rims are? I've seen that on BMW OEM RIMS BMW FACTORY WHEELS STOCK RIM CHROME REPLICA WHEEL USED RIMS BMW Wheels BMW OEM RIMS BMW FACTORY WHEELS STOCK RIM CHROME REPLICA WHEEL USED RIMS BMW Rims

Thanks for the help

The wheels look great ! But I don't think you'll ever get away from "ya get what ya pay for". Just my $0.02.

From my experience, the aftermarket wheels bend much easier from potholes. OEM wheels are very tough...

Quality aftermarket wheels will be just as strong as OEM wheels. What style wheels are you looking for?

Any wheel that hits a pothole has a chance of cracking. with aftermarket wheels you have so many different options but replicas you will notice slight differences and thats what sets them apart besides cost. Up to you to decide. From my experience I was better off spending the extra money for really nice aftermarket wheels with the right offsets, fitment, and tire size to match wheather it be the stretched or blocked/brick sidewalls depending on the setup. Otherwise staying with oem wheels was nice to know that I don't have to be paranoid about scratches etc.

ECS Tuning,

I'll be in the market for new summer 20" staggered wheels in the spring. I'd be interested to know what wheels you recommend as being as good as OEM.

As far as styles go, preferably something that looks OEM like an X5M or X6M style.

You can buy used wheels pretty cheap with tires, new oem wheels are roughly $2400...

Weight of replicas/aftermarket wheels should be considered too. You may save in replicas cost initially, but over the period of ownership you may pay more as replicas are usually heavy and when you consider rotating mass, you burn more gas. See this post. if you can find replicas equal in weight to OEM, go for it.

Good aftermarket or OEM! OEM would be better I think.
