Thank you! (P1158 & P1160 error codes)

This is why I like BMWs. I just bought my X5 on Monday and all of a sudden I get an error code. I think crap, did I get a lemon? having owned 2 E39s I have a code reader in my trunk at all times. P1158 with no info as it's BMW specific (double crap.) I come onto this board and see what it could be. Armed with this (and feeling better) I walk down to my car and check the MAF housing. Sure enough it's not tight and I can slide it apart easily. About 1 turn later we're back in business.

For the E39 it's Roadfly.com or M5board for the M5 specificly. For the X5 I found a good home here. Thanks all!

Now my wife understands why I hated her grandfather's Buick...
