Wheel change question for my 08/2004 4.8is

Hi all! I am thinking of changing existing wheels to factory Y spoke 214 wheels for my 08/2004 made year 4.8is. Question is that my X equipped with TPM, is there any modules or sensors built in the existing wheels for TPM function so that I must move them all to the new wheels? Or there is nothing built in the wheels for TPM function so that i can just swap new 214 wheels on without moving sensors or modules? Of cause I will install hub rings for all new 214 wheels. Thanks for help!

I believe your X uses the ABS sensor on the wheel to control the TPMS. If it detects one or more of the wheels beginning to spin at a different rate then the light is illuminated.

There is nothing on the wheels of 4.8is for pressure monitoring, so nothing will light up if you just swap the wheels. As mentioned above its monitored by spinning of wheels. But if you want to monitor exact pressure on each wheel, you can get aftermarket module and they will attach somewhere on dash. I have seen someone do that.
