Turbo, how have these lights held up. I just ordered mine, and curious if you used the optional resistor pack.

Can't wait.

Slick, you must have a 6th sense!
3 days ago my I found my AE not working anymore. I investigated this morning, and found one AE defective, it was short circuit and blowing the fuse. There was also an electronic burnt smell inside the AE.
They are supposed to be lifetime garanteed, so I will contact Umnitza tomorrow to see what they can do.
In the meantime, I'm back to the yellowish stock halogen lamps...

I didn't use their resistors. I have access to those resistors at work for free.
But, if you have GT1, you can disable the AE lamp check to avoid the message in the cluster. I didn't know that when I did mine so I went with load resistors.

Lol. Wow that sucks. $150 for 6 months, about. Yea let's see how Umnitza guys handle this. They seem to be standup guys. They actually gave me a bit of a discount when I mentioned Xoutpost. Thanks for getting back to this, and keep us updated.

I'll rename this thread to vxx longetivity.

Turbo, another question, how are your corner lamps off in those pics?

I've done it by programming. I used NCS Expert. Not very user friendly, but once you learn how it works, you can do neat tricks. It uses the same cable as Inpa, and GT1 running under VMware.

Here's what I did to my X:
front corner lamps off, execpt for turn signal
european hazard flashing (2 blinks instead of one)
fogs can remain ON with high beams or parking only
removed the ACCEPT screen on the NAV
DRL Off

There is a lot more, but didn't really look into it.

Crap so much different software. I have TwinsPoppas gt1. Hoping that it will connect to my car finally. Can this be done with GT1?

What did you guys pay for your NCS expert?

That looks really cool either way. Hopefully I will find a way to get this done as well.

Umm, I don't think GT1 can do coding at that level.
Yes there are many softwares for many tasks.
For NCS, you can buy an already made solution on EBay including all the softwares and cable, (search for: Inpa NCS) not expensive.

or you can go on Bimmerforums under the diagnostic forum and read how to build your own setup. That's what I did with mine.

So I put these babies in today. I didn't need any resistors or anything. Totally plug and play. Umnitza guys told me I need them, and I bought them, but will return the resistor plugs. They don't even fit into any of the factory plugs. Either way, I need to get some pics. These are so much better than factory. I can actually see them now in the day. Extremely bright. At night they look even better. Going to have to buy NCS and turn the damn corner lamps off. Don't know when I'll get the time for that, but one can hope.

I'll try to get pics tomorrow to show off, lol.

Turbo, how did it go for you with getting the light replaced?
