DIY Home Made 11 5 030 fan clutch removal tool for e53, 3.0

Disclaimer: the following thread/post is meant for entertainment purposes only. I am not an engineer or a tool
designer or a mechanic. I want only to communicate my last project to my fellow members.
If you decide to duplicate my actions set forth you do so for your own purposes and entertainment.

Simple Version of Fan Clutch Tool.

This is: just print the template on 8.5"x11" paper, cut out the template and transfer the cut out to
your steel bar, easy, and it's in American and metric measure so you won't be confused.

Took me 30 minutes once I had the template made.

tools needed:
Gloves
Eye protection
Magic marker I used a silver sharpie.
Drill
7/16 or 3/8 sharp metal drill bit
Dremmell Tool
Thin metal cutter blade for Dremmell
10mm wrench

Large Crescent wrench capable to open to 32mm.
I bought a 1-1/4"(same as 32mm) open end wrench at Sears for $30, I got home and saw my crescent
wrench and said... I bet.... hey, it worked. Hefty wrench is going back to Sears. Waste of money.
unless you have a dump truck you'll never use it again.

Materials:
1/8"x1-1/4"x16" inch flat steel stock ( any decent hardware store, I got mine in a 2 foot length at home depot and cut it to size)

Cut out your template, Tape it to your bar, mark out with marker, Put on your gloves and eye protection,
drill holes, cut out your half moon, and take your time and it will come out awesome and it will work.

One tip when installing the tool you just made to the fan clutch, Put on your eye protection and your gloves.
put the bolt with the slot on first leave loose until you insert the other bolt then snug them up with a 10mm wrench.
Put your crescent wrench on the 32mm nut and go RIGHT to loosen and LEFT to tighten.
**This nut is left handed threads.

Nice! I bought one on ebay but it does not fit so i cut and drilled a bigger hole so it's working perfect.
