"ENGINE FAILSAFE PROG" message!! ??
![]() ![]() Question: 1. Should I be worried or is it possible that maybe he just left a vacuum hose or spark plug wire loose? 2. Has anyone here experienced this before? 3. Where can i find a DIY for "Replacing Valve Cover Gaskets" on a 2005 X5..I found one for a 3.0, but I would like to see one for an 8 Cylinder. My mechanic will hook it to a computer to see what error code he is getting. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I will keep you guys informed ![]() |

I say get the codes first. Seems like something got screwed up during the gasket job. I don't get why it took him 5 hours to do one side.

hopefully your mechanic is charging by the job and not by the hour - 5 hours for one side??
