Newbie - Panorama roof & Nav

I recently picked up an 05 X5 4.4.......and am still feeling my way around it a bit.

Thanks to the board, I have been able to answer/fix a bunch of items, but I can't seem to get answers for the following (I searched, I really did):

1. I have a panarama roof - what kind of interior/convenience lighting is there supposed to be? Obviously with the roof, there is no dome light, but are the side lights (above the doors) and the center console lights supposed to go on (its dard in there at night)?

2. My Nav system is messed up (doesn't recognize disk), I want to take out the disk and start over but the disk won't eject? I have tried everything from holding eject for 3 minutes (read that somewhere), disconnecting the power, etc.

3. I think I have an MK4....how can I tell/be certain?
