Thanks for reply but yes I get no sound and the radio is powered on and Iam able to change radio stations. It seems to go out everytime i am accelerating at over 3 rpm will no sound then come back on. One time i was getting gas when radio sound was off after getting full tank of gas, my radio started to work again. Now i woke up my radio is again has no sound. Thanks for any input.

your new alternator may possibly be putting out too much voltage as RPM increases, if it climbs outside the operating range of the amplifier it will shut off. most caraudio equipment does not like to see more than 15-16 volts
another possibility is that you have a speaker going to ground or shorting out, this would also cause amplifier shutdown. if your charging system is normal, which is to say your alternator should put out between 13-14.5 volts when running, then I would find a reputable car stereo shop, which can be difficult. |
